At Home With, Maddy Relph

by Maddi Campbell |

This week Splice Boutique chats with the glowing Maddy Relph, Northern Beaches born beauty and founder of established jewellery label Mercii.

Despite our current circumstances, Maddy seems to remain refreshingly grounded and upbeat through everything. Here, we chat to her about keeping a positive mindset during 2021.

SB: We’re all spending a lot of our time at Home lately, what does the notion of ‘Home’ mean to you?

MR: As corny as it sounds, as I get older it isn’t so much a physical space rather than a person you share it with. I could almost live anywhere but creating a zone that feels light and bright is what makes me feel at peace.

SB: What are you currently listening to / reading / watching?

MR: Listening to a lot of dad hits and easy going beats, reading The universe has your back and rewatching Euphoria

SB: Do you have any tips for keeping a positive mindset during 2021?

MR: I’ve been trying to keep busy with friends when I can, my dogs and business. Getting to the beach and keeping active is super important for me. Mastering the thoughts that come through is still a challenge but slowly learning to let them pass over. Allowing yourself to be down is important too!

SB: What are your favourite pieces from ÉSS THE LABEL’s new collection, Banksia?

MR: The leather pants and the denim are such fun new additions!

SB: Morning routine?

MR: Waking up and jumping out of bed, drink some water and get out the door. Usually to the beach to walk the dogs or hot Pilates (which lately has been a once a week thing, need to build motivation). Back home for some food and work ❤️

SB:What’s the best advice you have been given?

MR: I guess just having trust that some things do happen for a reason and that there is always better days and experiences ahead. Can be hard to hear at times but remember to surrender and accept things that are left out of your control.
